Beliefs
Educators will believe that differences should be valued authentically and that all students enter the classroom with assets and are capable of excellence.
Knowledge
Educators will know and understand how to explore and reflect on their own practices as it relates to culturally relevant teaching, how knowledge is continuously shared by teachers and students, and how biases influence teaching and learning, Educators understand child development and how to connect it to culturally responsive teaching and pedagogical content knowledge.
Skills
Educators will be able to foster a joyful disposition towards life long learning (for students and themselves), share responsibility for learning with students, and take action towards social justice at the individual, interpersonal, institutional and/or cultural levels.
