Responsive Teaching Coalition

RESPONSIVE TEACHING INSTITUTE is now the RESPONSIVE COALITION INSTITUTE

The Responsive Teaching Coalition is a network of districts that work collaboratively to redefine education by inviting school administrators, K-12 teachers, and students to work collaboratively through a framework focused on equity in learning.

Educators will develop the following competencies through professional learning:

  • Knowing how to be equity leaders in their school district and learning communities.
  • Developing a common language and ability to apply research-informed frameworks in culturally responsive education, to effectively evaluate and integrate culturally responsive pedagogies in their classroom and/or professional community.
  • A collaboration space to bridge the learning from other WISD social justice and equity work.
  • Utilizing online meeting technology to build professional learning communities and constructively participate in teaching and learning online.
